Tonight, my weekend begins, and I have such plans. I tried to have such plans last weekend, but a migraine interdicted.

I haven’t been hugely interested in hand quilting thus far. It’s something that’s been in the back of my mind, but my lack of confidence and even stitches has prevented me from diving headlong into it. A few tentative forays into hand-stitching/embroidery stuffs have left me with an underwhelming feeling of “meh.”

Many of us, it seems, quite lose our senses when it comes to pretty fabrics. We derive such pleasure from simply looking at them, contemplating the possibilities of what to make of them. Sometimes, we can’t bring ourselves to cut into them (I’m perhaps more guilty of that than most, but I’m surely not alone.) [...]

Mike Neir is out mowing the yard, and is repeatedly freezing his tuckus off. Yesterday, he commented that I may have canned bean hoarding tendencies, so I’ve just thrown a giant vat of vegetarian chili into the crock pot to warm him up when he’s done and to get 4 cans of said beans out [...]
