For the sheer lols of it
My friend Ralph and I often talk about food at work. Today, he mentioned his childhood, which was filled with Weight Watcher recipes because his mom was a group leader. Ralph adores food that’s bad for him. Bad for him, and expensive (we have this in common, sadly,) and I attribute it partially to his tragic youth. When he mentioned “growing up” and “Weight Watchers,” it rekindled the memory of one of The Funniest Things EVAR. Would it still be up? It was from 2005ish… oh, yay! It is! I give you – Weight Watchers Recipe Cards from 1974. Click on the “tour” link at the bottom. Sit down, and don’t have any beverages in your mouth. Honestly.

OMG! This reminds me of the first time I was forced to go to Weight Watchers when I was 12. My mother had this obsession with normal. I was not tiny and forced onto diets since then. The recipes were terrible, even in the 80′s when I was forced into it. But those are crazy and funny! I can’t believe people ate that crap! Thanks for the walk down memory lane!
