Howdy April - kudos on going with natural deod! From what I'm reading and hearing, switching back and forth can cause issues. I'd love to hear how it's going for you. :)

So far, the three-ply method (crystal, natural deod, cornstarch) has yet to fail. I'm still experimenting with the homemade version - I put in too much baking soda and it feels like I'm wearing sand. Need to get more cornstarch and coconut oil in there to thin it down a bit.

It really is nice finding people on the same path, isn't it? Kind of gives one hope!

I've been trying to use natural deodorant for a few months now and it worked for awhile, but then seemed to stop working. After reading your info I think it's because I started switching between conventional and natural depending on my daily activity. Now I'm committed to just sticking it out with the natural.

I love all the info in this post! I'm going to save it for future reference. I'm so glad I found you through the Sew Mama Sew thingy. It's great to find people on the same journey.
